Boronic Acid-Based n-Type Semiconductor for Electronic Device Application

Abstract Electron transporting, or n -type, semiconductors can serve as charge-transport materials, and are ideal for use in organic electronic devices. Boron-based small molecules have garnered immense research attention the heteroatom effectively alter structures leading to excellent photophysical electrochemical properties. A luminescent Schiff base ( E )-(4-((2-(2-hydroxybenzoyl)hydrazono)methyl)phenyl)boronic acid (SHB) was prepared by a one-pot condensation reaction between salicyloyl hydrazide formylphenylboronic acid. The synthesized molecule chemically characterized infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance mass spectrometry. blue-emitting boronic acid-derived displayed intramolecular charge transfer, high carrier concentration, good thermal stability, reversible reduction tendency formation of uniform amorphous thin films. diode successfully fabricated via solution processing technique with an ideality factor 7.76. Further, AC conductivity, dielectric constant, loss, capacitance values frequency range 10–1000 Hz were extracted from studies. constant SHB found be 9.71 conductivity 6.34 × 10 −9 Ω −1 cm at 1000 Hz. The validity of electron tomography for imaging of high Z and low Z materials is evaluated using high aspect ratio VIAs and a DRAM as an example.
